There is a potentially ugly situation brewing in Praha the Czech Republic.
Praha 3.4.2006
A Canadian company,
O'Hsin Technology, or sometimes masquerading as O'Hsin Technology Works s.r.o.. It claims to have exclusive rights to FIFA's WC2006 for large-scale video screens located in Sweden, Portugal, Holland and France.
Well without bothering you with the details, this company suddenly and over the weekend of April 1st.leaving about 30+ employees without pay, commissions or an explanation...
I leave it up to you discression as to what you do with this story, but this ran on Praha's, Czech Republic TV Prima's evening news:

Turns out this company, O’Hsin Technology, HQ in Toronto, but made an office in Praha at 9 Krakovska; to have about 30 reps sell ad space coinciding with the World Cup of Football.

This company claims to have exclusive rights to WC2006 content for large scale public video screens, in Sweden, Portugal, Holland, France and perhaps also in Germany. And 30+ of it's sales force came to work on Monday only to find out the management liquidated the Praha office over the weekend. All employee contracts, commission documentation, databases, were either shredded or removed by the Canadian staff.
Of course all the police, including the state police and the commercial/financial (? hospodarska kriminalka) feds, had been immediately been informed and sealed the offices off, but about 10 Canadian "managers" scammed what they could and left about 30+ employees without pay, commission or an explanation.
Now that it is in the CZ press, wonder how FIFA will react to it when they find out. The home office in Toronto claims that the Praha office should be up and running as normal, but that is total BS, so does the Canadian Embassy, but a few of the employees went there to file a formal complaint.
A formal complaint has been filled with the Canadian embassy here in Praha.
Criminal charges were filled with the Czech police.
Interpol and Europol are launching their own investigation.
The Ministry of Work and Social Affairs is fully informed and supports the workers.
Immigration police has been informed and let the workers know that NONE of the so-called Canadian staff had adequate visas and work permits. This includes the following:
Jerzy A. Leptuch,
Ronald C. Walker
Chief executive officers:
Andrea McKenzie, Manuell Rumbos, Jennifer Wessman, Robin Moriarty.
A EU parliament representative, Jana Bobosikova will bring the issue up in the EU Parliament and we shall see what comes of it.
FIFA has been notified repeatedly, no reaction.
The Czech Federation of Labor Unions has offered the employees legal assistance, both here and in Canada.
